Award-winning cookery writer, Mridula Baljekar is the best-selling author of an incredible 27 Indian cookery books. Having appeared on Channel 4, BBC2, Sky One and more recently on the Chrissy B show, Mridula is no stranger to being in the limelight. Born and raised in Assam in North East India, Mridula turned her childhood passion for cooking into a highly successful career once she made the move to the UK.
Further to her television work, Mridula is regularly invited to present cookery shows on regional and national radio stations such as LBC Radio, BBC Southern Counties, BBC Berkshire, BBC Birmingham and the Food Programme on Radio 4.
With such accolades to her name, BCA is delighted to announce that Mridula will be running an Indian Cookery School in partnership with the College and offering the public the opportunity to learn the secrets involved in creating the most inspiring and delicious Indian cuisine.
Courses will take place onsite at BCA offering participants the exclusive opportunity to learn authentic Indian cookery in a professional kitchen environment. With only eight spaces available per class, the intimate experience with this award winning author and chef will leave students feeling confident in the kitchen and more knowledgable about ingredients used, their health benefits and the history and culture surrounding Indian cuisine.
