Condé Nast Traveller has published the winners of its worldwide awards, including the Top 20 Hotels in the UK – won by The Pig, Hampshire – and Favourite UK Business Hotels, with the Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park, London leading the way.

What are the favourite British hotels to take a break in? The Pig in the New Forest is at the top of the list, for being great value for money in an unimpeachable location. This year’s runner up is Babington House, which attracted the highest scores for atmosphere. For the Top 10, see below.

Favourite UK Business Hotels
This year all 15 of the favourite UK business hotels are in London. The ultimate winner, Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park (above), was singled out for its restaurants and Knightsbridge location, while Claridge’s was lauded for its impeccable service (closely followed by The Connaught). Shangri-La Hotel at the Shard was awarded the highest score for its lofty rooms, and Rosewood London bowled guests over for its innovative design.
