Union Hanover’s hotel operations arm NOHO has announced it has appointed a new management team for its Urban Villa concept which launched in February with Urban Villa in Brentford.
Since the Brentford launch, occupancy has already exceeded expectations. A Novotel and Premier Inn have now opened providing additional supply to the area, but the occupancy rate remains very strong.
The boutique all suites hotel has had enviable guest feedback to date: 4.5 Out of 5 on Trip Advisor; 9 out of 10 – “Fabulous” on Booking.com; and 4.8 out of 5 – “Exceptional “ on Expedia.
Martin Newbould has been appointed General Manager of Urban Villa Brentford. He was previously the Hotel Manager of the ACE hotel in Shoreditch and Operations Manager at The Hoxton. The high calibre GM has been tasked to position Urban Villa as a true Boutique All Suites Hotel and establish the Urban Villa brand and platform.
The new Director of Sales Joanna Stevens was previously Director of Sales and Marketing at the Chiswick Moran & Crown Moran Hotels for the past 3 years. Prior to joining Moran Hotels, she served in management roles at IHG, Penta Hotels and Malmaison.
Kate Ciblik has been appointed Revenue Manager. She was previously Senior Cluster Revenue Manager UK for Ascott Group and the Cavendish Hotel, managing a cluster of eleven different European Ascott properties before joining Urban Villa. Kate brings an invaluable blend of boutique hospitality and serviced apartment experience to the revenue department.
Setting standards for large growth in 2017 and 2018
Andrew Fowler added: “We are delighted with the calibre of candidates that have applied to join Urban Villa. This is a very flattering endorsement of our product, its positioning and price in the current market.
“It’s particularly important for us to create a strong platform on our first project in order to develop our standard operating procedures, systems and strategies. The next 20 months allows us to fine tune and create a well-oiled operational machine ready for large growth in 2017 and 2018.
“Our path-finding concept visioning team which has done a great job can now be replaced with a fully fledged management team. This will not only enhance the standard of hotel operations but will also drive forward the growth of sales and revenue.”
