Naturally Fast Food chain Leon has opened the doors to their 21st restaurant at Stansted Airport, furthering their mission to allow everyone to eat good food. Over 70 food and drink businesses competed for the 12 units in Stansted’s revamp, which aims to make the airport the best in London.
Leon co-founder and CEO John Vincent says, ‘This year marks our 10th birthday, and opening in Stansted is a big part of our celebrations. When we opened in Carnaby Street in 2004 and first started working out how to make and serve naturally fast food, this is exactly what we dreamt of creating.’
Leon is important to the airport’s redevelopment, which is designed to deliver new and exciting brands to their passengers.
Head of Retail Food & Beverage for M.A.G Jo Macey said, ‘Leon is a very exciting concept in the healthy fast food market and their arrival into Stansted is another stepping stone on the £80million transformation taking place to improve facilities for our passengers. Operated by HMS Host, this will be the first time Leon have featured on the menu at Stansted and I’d like to wish them every success with what will be a very popular option for passengers seeking low calorie food that tastes good and does you good. The great selection on offer can be enjoyed either before the flight or taken away to eat on-board.’
Leon’s expansion is set to continue with 12 new openings planned for 2015, creating around 800 new jobs and a lot of well beings.
