Tuesday 30th September was a day that unfolded to typify the phrase ‘an Indian summer’ and where better to enjoy such a day as Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons.
The Obsession Re-united Lunch took place at Raymond Blanc’s Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons – a truly global gourmet institution that needs no introduction – the celebration lunch brings together great food, excellent wine as well as dynamic, engaging gastronomic company.
Hosted by Villeroy & Boch, with chef patron Nigel Haworth and business partner Craig Bancroft of Northcote, the guest list includes; Fergus Henderson; The Galvin brothers; Eric Chavot and many more including Northcote head chef Lisa Allen together with Gary Jones and others.
Nigel Haworth prior to the event said “we’re on the cusp of celebrating the 15th year of Obsession, our much-loved annual guest-cheffing event”. “So what better way to mark the occasion than with a reunion lunch for all previous guest chefs? I, for one, can’t wait to see us all together under one roof once again. Only this time, we don’t have to do the cooking!”
Nigel continued: “Not only will this reunion lunch be a chance for all of us to reflect on Obsession and all the very special evenings we’ve enjoyed at Northcote, but the stunning backdrop and food at Le Manoir Aux Quat’Saisons will make it all the more special. Next year’s Obsession plans are now finalised, and no doubt will stimulate conversation on the day. Watch this space.”
Nick Green, National Sales & Marketing Manager of Villeroy & Boch Hotel & Restaurant comments “as a brand that is especially proud of working with top chefs and restaurateurs, we were thrilled to host The Obsession Re-united lunch to celebrate fourteen years of culinary greatness. The lunch was a great success and thoroughly enjoyed by all that attended.”
The afternoon did not disappoint, the menu was simply exquisite with wines perfectly matched to every course served by a front of house team that were courteous, knowledgeable and a credit to the establishment.
