Hospitality brand the Quarter Group is joining forces with IHG to launch The Kensington Quarter, an innovative new café, bar, restaurant and deli at the four star boutique Hotel Indigo London Kensington Earl’s Court.
Opening on 1 November, The Kensington Quarter will present an exciting all-day dining option for locals and hotel guests alike, and follows in the successful footsteps of the four other eateries in Doron and Valeria Zilkha’s Quarter Group collection, all of which combine stylish yet relaxed surroundings with a passion for fine food and wine.
Designed by award winning consultancy Dexter Moren Associates, The Kensington Quarter will offer west London a fabulous new venue in which to drink and dine as well as a social space for the local community. It is destined to become a much favoured haunt throughout the day, whether it’s a business breakfast, a lunch with friends, a post work drink or a romantic evening meal.
Under the command of head chef Riad Zailuk (Oxo Tower Brasserie, Pont de la Tour, The Phene), The Kensington Quarter will offer a range of imaginative, locally inspired dishes. In keeping with the Quarter Group’s ethos, all will be prepared from organic, seasonal and locally crafted ingredients, with meat and poultry sourced from independent suppliers who only engage in ethical methods.
Set to be a hugely popular part of The Kensington Quarter will be its in-house deli. Valeria Zilkha has spent months sourcing a fine array of locally sourced artisan produce. Among the many standouts are Doisy & Dam’s superdelicious luxury organic chocolate; Farrington’s award-winning rapeseed oil; organic apple juice from family run Moor’s Farm in Kent and Dodd’s gin, a small batch gin made from organic botanicals created by Battersea-based The London Distillery.
About the Quarter Group
The Quarter Group was founded in 2006 by down to earth food lover and restaurateur Doron Zilkha. It launched with the Brompton Quarter Café in Knightsbridge, originally conceived as part café, part patisserie and part gourmet bar. With the help of co-owner and creative director Valeria Zilkha, it was to become the DNA of the Quarter Brand and one of the capital’s leading destination restaurants. In 2011 Doron sold Brompton Quarter Brasserie and moved on to open The Chelsea Quarter Café, followed by River Quarter Kitchen in Battersea (2012), Heal’s Quarter Café (2013) and The Royal Quarter Café (2013) near Buckingham Palace.
