The search for a new leader for the BII to oversee the next exciting stage of its strategic development is almost over with parties required to express interest in the role by Friday 31 October.
The high profile leadership role will work alongside Chief Executive Tim Hulme in implementing the company’s ambitious plans to drive growth and to re-establish its position as the leading membership and qualification awarding organisation in the licensed retail sector.
Transformational change
The part-time remunerated role has already attracted a wide range of interest, and offers the successful candidate the chance to lead a programme of transformational change for the sector’s largest professional body.
Leading the Board of Trustees who have oversight of the organisation’s strategic plan; guiding and directing the Chairs of three Advisory Boards; maintaining corporate governance; and guiding and supporting the Chief Executive are key responsibilities of this role.
The commitment of time is expected to be around 2.5 days per month, including attending Board and industry associated meetings.
The nomination and selection panel includes industry heavyweights, Andrew Griffiths, MP and Chair of the All Party Parliamentary Beer Group; Stephen Glancey, Group Chief Executive of C&C Group and Stephen Gould, Managing Director of Everards, who will be accompanied by two serving non-executives and two trustees.
