St. James’ Court, A Taj Hotel is launching The Cellar Room at The Hamptons Bar in association with Laurent-Perrier Champagne on 12 September 2014.
In this elegant room, guests will be able to experience the full Laurent-Perrier range of champagnes from the crisp and citrusy Ultra Brut to the rare and exquisite Alexandra Rosé. For those that can’t decide which to try, there is the Laurent-Perrier champagne flight of three champagnes each served with a carefully paired canapé.
Inspired by the six miles of chalk cellars that lie below the beautiful Laurent-Perrier estate in the heart of the champagne region, The Cellar Room provides a range of champagne varieties to suit every taste and occasion, offering a quiet corner for champagne lovers as well as the opportunity for groups to hire the space for exclusive tastings. The walls are adorned with stunning imagery from the hidden cellars transporting guests to the heartland of Champagne, endless racks of precious champagne, a skilled riddler hard at work, and ancient bottles from long ago vintages patiently waiting for their turn to shine.
New Champagne Flight Experience
St. James’ Court, A Taj Hotel is celebrating this launch with The Cellar Room Champagne Flight Experience at the introductory price of £20 per person. Guests can try a tasting flight of three Laurent-Perrier champagne glasses, each presented under the instruction of the Executive Chef with a perfectly paired canapé.
Laurent-Perrier Brut is complemented with a Scottish scallop and avocado tartare, the Laurent-Perrier Cuvée Rosé with prawn and smoke salmon en paupiette, and the Laurent-Perrier Vintage 2004 with a summer asparagus ratatouille crostini. The Champagne Flight includes the three champagne tasters and canapés, and is available every day at The Cellar Room.
