Flemings Mayfair has appointed Henrik Muehle as the new General Manager of the privately owned boutique hotel in London. Founded in 1851, the 129-room luxury property is one of only a handful of family-owned hotels in the capital, as well as one of the oldest.
Joining from the five-star St James’s Hotel and Club in Mayfair, where he oversaw the successful operation of 60 guest rooms and suites as well as the Michelin-starred restaurant Seven Park Place, Henrik brings with him over 20-years industry experience. Prior to St James’s Hotel and Club, Henrik worked with Éric Chavot for seven years at The Capital Hotel London, which earned two Michelin-stars.
Tasked with taking this leading SLH (Small Luxury Hotels of the World) boutique hotel to the next level, Henrik will oversee every aspect of the management of Flemings Mayfair, which includes the refurbishment of the hotel, suites and apartments that occupy twelve interconnecting Georgian townhouses, as well as a complete overhaul of the restaurant and bar. His role will focus on repositioning the hotel to the luxury market, raising the overall guest experience and improving the service levels. Drawing on his considerable knowledge of F&B, a particular emphasis will also be placed on the development of a new restaurant concept and a destination bar for 2015.
“It’s hugely exciting to be part of the next phase of evolution for Flemings Mayfair. A series of upgrades and redesigns of the apartments, suites and rooms and a brand new concept for the restaurant and bar next year will put Flemings Mayfair firmly back on the map. My team are completely committed to raising the bar for this magnificent hotel to compete with the very best establishments in London”, said Henrik Muehle.
