On 13th December 2014 new food labelling regulations come into force across Europe which for the first time will require the caterer to provide information to customers about food allergens present in the food they serve – whether packaged or not, whether sold or not. The planned changes have significant impact for all Food Service and Hospitality businesses, owners, staff and customers.
The Sussex Branch of the Institute of Hospitality will hold a seminar on this subject on Monday 19th May 2014, 18:00 to 21:30 at The Desoutter Suite, Hotel Sofitel, North Terminal, London Gatwick RH6 0PH
Win new customers and their friends – or face the consequences of non-compliance?
The seminar will provide an opportunity to examine the facts around the new Food Information Regulations, what is required to comply, penalties for non-compliance, the consequences of food allergies and to consider the implications and responses for Food Service and Hospitality businesses. It will present practical ideas and tools to help prepare, explain issues from the food allergy customer’s viewpoint and suggest that handled properly there is an opportunity to win new food allergy customers with friends and colleagues.
