T.G.I. Friday’s has launched its new handcrafted burger range featuring seven tender and juicy burger experiences. The new burgers – which are high on both taste and quality – have been developed by T.G.I. Friday’s award-winning burger expert Terry McDowell, who has just been recognised as the leading chain-restaurant development chef in the UK.
As the original casual dining restaurant serving up flavourful food in the UK since 1986, Friday’s knows what goes into a quality burger. The new range combines top quality British beef – grilled fresh to order – utilising cuts of chuck and brisket for the optimum combination of juiciness and flavour.
The focus on perfection stretches beyond the beef, with a buttery bun specifically devised to stand up to the juicy patty, upon which layers or flavour and texture are carefully built to create the ultimate burger experience that is different from anything else around.
Can’t-get-anywhere-else taste experiences
As well as traditional flavours such as the Cheeseburger Deluxe and Classic American, Friday’s has introduced a range of innovative can’t-get-anywhere-else taste experiences such as the French Dip – a ‘wet burger’ which comes with garlic, caramelised onions and a pour-it-all-over beef sauce.
The range also offers the Bruce Lee Burger – for those who like their burgers with an oriental kick. Served with Asian slaw, jalapenos, red chilli, Srirachi hot sauce, toasted sesame seeds and crispy noodles.
For an unbeatable double-meat hit, the BBQ Pulled Pork Burger combines Friday’s signature burger with juicy pulled pork alongside pickled red onion, Colby cheese and Hickory BBQ sauce.
Game-changers for the new menu
Terry McDowell, Friday’s burger expert said: “Burgers are one of the most popular dishes to order when dining out in the UK, so to continue to lead the way we’ve come up with some real game-changers for our new menu, offering some really innovative and unique burger combinations which show just why Friday’s is famous for flavour.
“T.G.I. Friday’s is not only a great place to experience the most flavoursome burger around, but the perfect place to enjoy the incredible Friday’s atmosphere. The combination of these two elements is sure to create the ultimate burger experience.”
New children’s menu
T.G.I. Friday’s has also introduced new children’s menus – one for the younger and one for the older kids.
The Little League Menu
This menu is crafted with classic yet delicious kids’ meals, from the tasty Chicken Burger, made with 100% grilled chicken breast, to Omega 3-packed Fish Fingers. All Little League dishes come with Friday’s fingers: tasty sticks of apple, mixed peppers, cucumber and carrots that make up one of their 5-a-day.
The Major League Menu
Keeping the older kids happy can sometimes be tricky: the new Major League Menu is designed for more grown up kids who are a little more adventurous and enjoy a real flavour kick. It offers smaller, yet equally flavourful versions of the meals mum and dad eat, including the likes of the Monster Burger with maple bacon and chipotle ketchup and delicious Baby Back Pork BBQ Ribs.
Sweet treats
For all the wannabe Willy Wonkers, Friday’s has created fun and interactive desserts to excite the younger audience, including the ‘Fairground Attraction’ with candy floss and mini donuts and the ‘Sweet Shop Sundae’ which comes with popping candy and allows kids to build their own dessert.
Fuller, bolder flavours
Terry McDowell comments: “Children’s choices when eating out are evolving and we’ve crafted a new menu to reflect this. Our insight shows that tastes are developing, especially amongst older children. There is a demand for fuller, bolder flavours and an increasing desire to eat food which is a bit more like what mum and dad eat. We are delighted to launch our Little League and Major League menus and are sure they will be a big hit with the increasingly discerning young diners.”
