Last week saw the official launch of the partnership between Rhug Estate and The Magazine Restaurant at the spectacular Serpentine Sackler Gallery in Kensington Gardens.
Rhug Organic Farm in Corwen, North Wales, already supplies some of the top restaurants in the world – including many Michelin-starred restaurants in the UK – and now supplies The Magazine Restaurant with its organic Welsh meat. Creative chef Oliver Lange (pictured at foot with Lord Newborough) showcased Rhug’s meat at its best for this exclusive gathering, which included some of the top names in the culinary world.
The menu boasted Confit Leg, Lamb Tartar, Sliced Pork Cheeks with Bean Vinaigrette, Lambsaddle and Boudin Noir, to name a few. The meats were carved and served during the event, along with wine and cocktails.
Rhug Estate
The Rhug Estate in Denbighshire is one of the three Estates that is owned by Lord Newborough, with the other two Estates located in Peplow in Shropshire and Glynllifon in Gwynedd.
