Stonyhurst is an independent, private, coeducational Catholic Boarding and Day school based in the North West of England which has a fabulous purpose built new catering wing. The new catering area opened just a few months ago and includes two large soup and salad stations using Primeware’s ‘like porcelain’ range of unbreakable dishes and platters.
Barbara Church-Taylor, the catering manager serves 10 choices of fresh salads daily from the self-help salad bars. The salad bar required a selection of dishes & platters of various sizes to suit their wide range of salads and main items.
Barbara Church-Taylor said: “Primeware’s Quality Melamine range is just what we were looking for as you cannot tell the difference between this and porcelain. With it being virtually unbreakable, dish wash safe and stackable we knew this would be ideal to display our salads. It not only looks the part it is cost saving as we do not need to keep replacing it. The coordinating shapes and sizes of the dishes & platters allow us flexibility with the look of the counter display.”
Heather Brooks from Primeware says, “We worked with Barbara to produce a layout that would suit. The look and appeal of the salad display was an important decision in choosing Primewares dishes. ”
The Quality Melamine range offers a selection of shapes and sizes and colours, Stonyhurst College selected dishes from the square bowl, oblong bowl and platter ranges. The square and oblong bowls are available with lids in black and white. The oblong platter is also available in various sizes and with raised clear lids for ease of storage and display.
Quality Melamine unbreakable dishes look and feel just like porcelain, they are stackable, available with lids and in black and white.
