Property of the week, Bayswater’s Leinster Inn Hotel

Acting on behalf of Carven Properties Ltd, Christie + Co is marketing the former Leinster Inn Hotel in Bayswater, London, with offers invited for the freehold interest of the property.

The 122-bedroom Leinster Inn Hotel, which occupies six adjoining, Grade II-Listed town houses in the middle of a 19th Century terrace, is presented to the market with extensive development potential.

The hotel, which has recently ceased trading, was operated for many years as a hostel aimed at the backpacker market. Converted for hotel use a number of years ago, accommodation is arranged over lower ground, ground and four upper floors.

The property, which is for sale on an unencumbered basis, has a gross internal area of approximately 31,500sq ft and has a number of communal areas.

The hotel benefits from excellent local transport links and is within walking distance of Notting Hill, Hyde Park, Marble Arch, Kensington Palace and many world famous attractions and museums.

David Creamore, Director at Christie + Co, said: “The fact that London continues to outperform many other European capital cities, makes it an attractive investment location for UK and overseas buyers. This is a rare opportunity to acquire substantial freehold properties in central London with extensive development potential.”
